Well done Diane for all the other names. Now you have mentioned them I remember quite a few of them. I think it was my fault for Tina's surname. I thought I remembered it as Carter but now you have said Colegate I agree with you.

A good list and lots of names I had forgotten. Remembering those that joined from Chandos I can't at the minute remember surnames. Wasn't there also David Jordan who joined from Chandos... anybody able to confirm that? Paul

what a sweetheart you are - the more names I see the more I remember. Sadly the more my heart aches as well! I had a crush on Gill Samworth from the minute I saw her until the minute I left School! Well done for remembering them. Are you in touch with any of them?

| Phil,
Don't know why I remember this, but didn't your parents run the tobacconists in Columbia Ave, near the hospital? I know I remember you, but not from school, different years didn't mix!!! I know also that "Boulter's" used to deliver our family paper, and that as kids, my brother and I used to spend all of our pocket money there buying penny sweets! I know this has nothing to do with Downer as such, but at our age any memory of the past is quite good and proves that I haven't totally lost it! By the way, reading your posts over the weeks, is there any girl that you didn't have a crush on?? Just wondering? Coz in reality I had the same problem with all the girls at school! Couldn't say boo to a goose back then tho' so with me it was all so much wishful thinking! Some of the teachers weren't half bad either! | |

| Hi Diane
Remember Gill Marks & Michelle Parnell? They both left with me (Susan Marks) in 1975. They both now live in Israel. I have remained in contact with Michelle, & have just "met up" again with Gill through "FriendsReunited". Susan (now Hutter)
